Geografia Sonora

Geografia Sonora from the award-winning composer, Georgia Spiropoulos, is an ambient sound and visual landscape on the theme of the sea. An enclosed cell, its walls are video projections of a sparkling sea that changes colour, density and substance as the soundscape evolves in a continuous movement without beginning or end – an acoustic meander through space. The sonic material was collected in various places around the world, while the sounds and images are combined in real time by a specially designed programme. Geografia Sonora is both a viewing space and a primal experience of wandering through images, light and music.
