William Christie and Les Arts Florissants are celebrating thirty years of service to the Baroque revival with new productions of two jewels from Rameau’s exceptional oeuvre: the one-act acte de ballet Pigmalion, and extracts from Hippolyte et Aricie. Co-produced by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Holland Festival, Athens Festival and the Teatro Real (Madrid), the production combines the exploratory spirit of William Christie and Les Arts Florissants orchestra and chorus with the innovation of American choreographer Trisha Brown and her company to great effect.
