The
Projector Company engages with the burning issues of Greece’s political present by exploring the history of the Greek railways and, through them, of the country as a whole.
Choosing a place which is still close to the reality of city streets and apartments – an Athenian rooftop from where the gaze can wander unimpeded over the railway lines that crisscross the city – the company stages a site-specific performance based on the codes of the ‘theatrical documentary’, a mix of historical texts, songs and personal testimony, and the participation of people who have themselves worked on the railways.
