Dialogues - Educating Audiences in Ancient Drama

Workshop with director Yannis Kalavrianos

The Educating Audiences in Ancient Drama programme and the Dialogues event will continue on Monday 4 March at the Voulefikon Nafpliou with director Yannis Kalavrianos as the invited guest. Kalavrianos will direct a production of Euripides' Iphigenia in Aulis at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurs on 19 and 20 July 2019.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the plot and main themes of the play, become familiar with the planning of rehearsals and also participate in a simulation of the games, exercises and techniques that the director adopts on the early days of rehearsals in order to build a tight group of collaborators with a common perception of the space and pace. The games and exercise will be conducted under the guidance the actress and assistant director Alexia Beziki.
