Jérémie Rhorer is rightly considered to be his generation’s finest interpreter of
Mozart, since his performances clearly reveal the depth and transparency of the great classical composer’s work. After 2011’s astounding Idomeneo, Le Cercle de l’Harmonie returns with a sublime programme consisting of the Overture to Don Giovanni, the “Jupiter” Symphony and the Fifth violin concerto. The solo part is played by
Julien Chauvin, co-founder with Rhorer of this ensemble which is so ideally suited to the 18th-century repertoire.
