AΦTER | The Bonnie Nettles
Curation Dimitris Tsakas, Iro Nikolaou
The AΦTER at Peiraios 260 – a curated programme of live music – keeps Peiraios 260 awake a little longer into the small hours. On Friday 29 May, marking the opening of the Athens Epidaurus Festival, this new initiative makes its debut through a series of live sets woven into the P260 programme, transforming the venue into a vibrant midnight meeting point.
This new series aspires to create a fresco of sounds and moods, ripe with surprises. Thirteen musical evenings where jazz gives way to rock, live DJ sets open new sonic directions, and music performances test the limits of stage and sound. An AΦTER that reimagines P260 as a micro-concert ecosystem – almost independently of the artistic programme that precedes it – an event in its own right.
Two entirely separate zones within the site, the Garden and the Platea, alternate and come alive, each hosting entirely different music sensibilities. The audience is no longer a passive spectator; it becomes part of an experience that unfolds, shifts, builds atmospheres, and reaches unexpected peaks. At times driven by intensity and rhythm, at others by underground, atmospheric soundscapes, AFTER at P260 invites listeners to journey – to linger, to discover, or simply to let go. In a city that never sleeps, constantly seeking new ways of expression and human connection, AΦTER extends the Festival experience beyond the stage. When the performance ends, all falls silent – and at midnight, the music starts.
