Stand Alone Zone


With Stand Alone Zone, Karl Biscuit and Marcia Barcellos immerse us in a futuristic universe, dark and absurd yet also tender, resembling a post-apocalyptic landscape. We see flying trees, floating cities in the sky and journeys through space reminiscent of the films of Georges Méliès. Dance, music and 3D digital images are fused together in a visual illusion that narrates impossible stories set in incredible worlds. Système Castafiore, a company making its first appearance in Greece, draws upon the great tradition of the metamorphosis of the human body espoused by Oskar Schlemmer and Alwin Nikolais.
