Moment

Marianna Kavallieratou developed her art alongside a giant of the performing arts. A performer and close collaborator of Robert Wilson for 18 years, she will be making her Athens Festival début with her first choreographic attempt. Body and gender identity, a favourite field of research for contemporary dance, is the inspiration behind Moment: a duet, performed by Kavallieratou herself with Thanassis Akokkalidis, dealing with the duality of our sexes-our transgender self. A wandering through the world of man as woman and woman as man.
