Christoph Büchel
Unplugged (Simply Botiful)
Swiss artist Christoph Büchel is famous for his conceptual creations and large scale installations. There is a clear political thread running through all his work.
Unplugged (Simply Botiful) is a complex installation that forces the audience to participate in physically demanding and psychologically unsettling scenarios as they make their way through narrow tunnels and claustrophobic rooms. Büchel explores the variable relationship between security and confinement and assigns the public the ambivalent role of victim / voyeur.
The work is part of the Dimitris Daskalopoulos Collection of Contemporary Art and is exhibited with his courtesy.
