Civil War


Civil War, an audio-visual performance from drog_A_tek, draws on the landscape of everyday life as it is scanned, mapped and recorded by public security systems and cameras.


Private moments that may have evoked a sense of mystic desire course through the optical fibres as soundless, voiceless, imageless quantities. A civil war stored in a digitally normalized sequence of numbers.


drog_A_tek performances take place in a zone beyond rules governing the use of their material. Broadcasting known/unknown narrations and transient desires, they receive them, too. They print music, posters, stickers, write on walls and the Internet.
