Laments of Women - Athens Epidaurus Festival

Four outstanding performers from the worlds of song and of the theatre perform laments by Tecmessa, Electra, Jocasta, Deianeira and Antigone. Translated extracts from Sophocles, verse monologues and lyric ‘prayers’ form a freeform musical synthesis.
