New dramaturgies: How political is the contemporary Greek theatre?

Dramaturgy, meaning the way in which thought and speech are formed out of the elements available to poetry and drama, is especially relevant today in an era in which the art of theatre direction is clearly in crisis. How is contemporary Greek theatre engaging with the present? How is it translating the experience of crisis into contemporary drama and what stance are younger Greek directors / dramatists taking to the Crisis through the forms they adopt?

The discussion will include artists from the Greek programme (Elli Papaconstantinou, Ioli Andreadi & Aris Asproulis, Argyro Chioti & Efthymis Filippou, Vasilis Mavrogeorgiou) and critics Ιleiana Dimadi (Athinorama) & Gregory Ioannidis (Efimerida ton syntakton).
