Piano recital with Dora Bakopoulou
Χωρίς Τίτλο
The music of Chopin and Schumann has always occupied a special place in the affections of Dora Bakolopoulou, the internationally celebrated pianist whose repertoire encompasses everything from Bach to Hadjidakis. In this the 200th anniversary of their births, the Greek pianist will be giving a recital dedicated to the two leading lights of Romanticism. In the first part, she brings her intensely romantic conception to bear on works by Robert Schumann, including the famous Scenes from Childhood. This is followed by a selection of Chopin’s nocturnes, ballades and mazurkas.
