The Athens Epidaurus Festival is launching an open call for professional and non-professional dancers over the age of 60 who are interested in exploring movement, the body, and the fundamentals of contemporary dance.
The workshop Timeless Moves will be led by professional dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer Christiana Kosiari and will take place on 7 July at Peiraios 260.
About the workshop
Timeless Moves focuses on the basic principles of contemporary dance and offers an experiential introduction to movement through simple guided exercises, improvisation, and collaborative work. Exploring the body’s relationship to everyday movement opens new pathways for expression, while personal experience, memory, and age become creative material.
The workshop process will be developed individually, in pairs, and in groups through exercises that nurture listening, trust, concentration, and connection with others.
The workshop forms part of Christiana Kosiari’s ongoing research into the body, memory, and age, exploring how personal stories can be transformed into movement.
