A Tribute to Lefteris Vogiatzis

“Above all else, Lefteris showed us a particular way of doing things”, says the director Nikos Panagiotopoulos. “He never pretended in a role, and he never compromised with the sort of specious ‘realism’ the market wants. What I liked most about Vogiatzis the big-screen actor was that he had a face like Buster Keaton and an acting style that had something of Laurel and Hardy or Jerry Lewis about it.”

This tribute to Lefteris Voyiatzis includes three of his most important roles: in Nikos Panagiotopoulos’ Melodrama? (1980), Pantelis Voulgaris’ Acropole (1995), and Giorgos Skevas’ Naked Hands (2011).
