The exceptional Canadian musician and jazz singer returns to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a venue wellsuited to her sound, style and repertoire.
Glad Rag Doll, the album (her eleventh) behind the tour, is based on covers of old songs she discovered on her father’s old 78s and recorded with the help of T-Bone Burnett, the producer who’s a mobile encyclopaedia of American jazz and country music history. Her Athens concert is sure to be cool and elegant, with a mature sound, quality piano and vocals, and a band that’s well worth hearing.
Under the aegis of the Embassy of Canada in Greece for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic affairs between Greece and Canada
