Fairouz in Concert
Born and raised in Lebanon, Fairouz began her musical career as a teenager. From chorus girl at the Lebanese radio station in the late 1940s, to critical and popular acclaim from the 1950's to today, Fairouz is acknowledged not only for her musical talent and contribution, but also as a cultural and political icon. A symbol of a people, a heritage, a quest for peace, and of humanity.
In 1956 she inaugurated the Baalbeck international Festivals, and since she has performed in almost all the capitals of the Arab world and in all the prestigious concert halls of the major American, European and Australian cities to highest acclaim. She also received the highest distinction in decorations and honors.
Α concert for the support to the children in need, in collaboration with the “Women’s International Peace Movement”, the “Foundation for the Child and the Family” and ELPIDA-Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.
