A Kind of Fierce

The frenzied hero would be the one who knows how to live the present moment in all fullness and appreciate what happens in the moment when it happens

Giordano Bruno

The ambiguous nature of the rule and the related concept of freedom excite my interest and lead me to practices and writings that set up the illusion of free will.
Kind of Fierce is a solo. It dances around its solitary nature and plays with the idea of exhibition and expression as it tries hard not to forget that the on-stage action relates to the present moment. It toys with the idea of daring, searching for its own version in order to leave space for a few moments of freedom.
Through a process which connects sharpness of thought to directness of impulse, I invent the rules so I can handle both and play with the contrast between them, with my own references, with my own obsessions.
Kind of Fierce is a dance that tries to avoid nostalgia, fear, fatalism and hope; a dance in which everything is important and everything unimportant. A “free dance” of my very own.
