Spyros A. Evangelatos Amphi-theatre
Wasps
by Aristophanes
Headed by two popular actors, the Amphi-theatre brings to life an Aristophanic comedy of especial relevance to the present day. Having adopted a systematic approach to ancient Greek theatre in recent years, Spyros Evangelatos now turns to Wasps, a play which satirizes the institutions of democracy by poking fun at the litigation-mad Athenians, and the manipulation of judicial authority.
