Şahika Tekand, founder of Studio Oyuncuları (1990) and a highly respected actress and performer in Turkey, has described her collaboration with Theodoros Terzopoulos as a significant driving force in her work.
Her contemporary version of Prometheus charts the tragedy of a modern man who, trapped in his little world, is losing his ability to actively participate in life. So he sets aside his big ideas and long-term plans and focuses instead on the trivial, short-term goals of everyday life and the illusory needs instilled in him by the social system.
