The Epidaurus Work-in-Progress Forum
With the participation of young academics

“The Epidaurus Work-in-Progress Forum” is to be held in Epidauros, and attended by leading German director Peter Stein, renowned British playwright and poet Tony Harrison, director Vassilis Papavassiliou, Theatre Studies Professor Nassos Vagenas, and many other distinguished academics and artists. Organised by the University of Athens’ European Network of Research and Documentation of Ancient Greek Drama Performances, which was founded in 1997 in association with other European universities, and with the support of the Municipality of Asklipieio and the Socrates/Erasmus student exchange programme, it is aimed at post-graduate theatre studies and classics students.

Also taking part in the Forum will be young academic researchers from around the world who have attended the Intensive Course on the Study and Performance of Ancient Greek Drama over the last five years. The aim of the Forum is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, and to establish channels of communication on an international and inter-disciplinary level between young academics who share an interest in ancient drama and who have all attended the European Network’s Intensive Course.

The Forum immediately follows this year’s 6th Intensive Course on the Study and Performance of Ancient Greek Drama.
