An educational tool and a self-assessment tool for theatres, festivals and other cultural organisations were developed as part of the Erasmus+ Sustainable Culture Toolkit project.
Both tools emerged from research and the exchange of experience among the project partners. They focus on integrating environmental responsibility into artistic production, management and the everyday operation of cultural organisations.
Environmental education
The educational tool approaches sustainability in relation to the particular conditions and needs of the cultural sector. It combines essential information, examples and questions that can provide a starting point for learning and discussion within an organisation.
“Ready to Act” self-assessment tool
“Ready to Act” provides a framework for internal review through which each organisation can examine its current practices, recognise what is already in place and define its priorities for the future.
Both tools are available in open and editable formats in Greek, English, French, Polish and Dutch:
The Sustainable Culture Toolkit is coordinated by the Athens Epidaurus Festival in partnership with Nowy Teatr, Théâtre de Liège and Organization Earth, and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
