This weekend, 6 & 7 November, the International Theatre Conference “Values of Ancient Greek Theatre Across Space & Time: Cultural Heritage and Memory” will be held online, as part of the European research programme VAST (Values Across Space and Time).
The Athens Epidaurus Festival will be represented by Dimitra Kondylaki, Head of Publications Department, whose lecture “Contemporary Aspects of the Tragic – In the Context of an Ever-Postponed Rebirth” will focus on the contemporary Greek plays presented as part of the Contemporary Ancients Cycle at the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus. (Sunday, 7.11.21: 17:00-17:15).
Martha Koskina, former longtime Festival employee, will also give a lecture titled “Epidaurus Festival and Fabricated Memory” (Sunday, 7.11.21: 17:15 – 17:30).
