Watch a brief excerpt from Savina Yannatou’s rehearsals for her upcoming concert, along with Primavera en Salonico and Tunisian singer Lamia Bedioui, at the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, on August 14 & 15.
The Arabic language and the Bedouin dialect will cross paths with Mediterranean languages. Oud, qanun, ney, violin, accordion, percussion, waterphone and contrabass are the instruments accompanying the vocals, combining traditional influences with free improvisation.
