KoinoPoeisis (Making Audiences)
The audience, the spectators, and the active citizens are waiting for the performance to start. A live investigation; a hybrid participatory documentary theatre which turns around the relationship between the koilon and the orchestra. A dialogue between the past and the future about the relationship of the Polis with theatre and citizens/spectators of ancient drama. Architecture meets archaeology, social sciences and performing arts in this investigatory student performance raising startling questions. A game of sensations and rituals, unfolding inside and around the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, performed by the students of the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese, in the framework of the Educating Audiences in Ancient Drama programme of Epidaurus Lyceum and this year's theme of Epidaurus Festival "Polis and the Citizen".
The performance is preceded by a happening at the port of Ancient Epidaurus
