Regarding the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra concerts that are scheduled to take place on July 6 & 7 at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus:
Regrettably, due to health reasons, Yuri Temirkanov will not be able to conduct the Orchestra. Conductor Nikolay Alexeev will replace Mr. Temirkanov.
On July 7, soloist Denis Matsuev will not be able to perform, also due to health reasons. The Orchestra will perform music from Igor Stravinsky’s ballet Petrushka and P. I. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4.
On July 6, the Orchestra will perform the pieces already announced, with the participation of soloist Pablo Ferrández, as previously announced.
