Sforaris Theatre Company – Υiannis Kalavrianos
Paraloges or little daily tragedies
The Sforaris Theatre company applies itself, with youthful enthusiasm, to performing folk fables in song and contemporary poetry.
With this production / installation / site-specific performance, made up of a series of self-contained pieces, Yiannis Kalavrianos highlights stories that share a common theme: acts “dangerous” for common moral and societal codes that bring with them clashes and end in murder. Images, words, and the adapted verse of the poet Tassos Livaditis are brought together to form a commentary on the bleak world of narrative songs and the absurdity of existence.
