Lenio Kaklea
arranged by date
Lenio Kaklea, who has worked with both Boris Charmatz and Emmanuelle Huynh in recent years, brings her mystifying solo arranged by date to the Athens Festival. An unexpected event triggered the creation of this work: the dancer and choreographer forgot the PIN to her card. As she struggles to recall on stage what “the memory has veiled”, she composes a story that veers between the real and the imaginary. As both observer and observed, she poses the audience a question: “In an era as automated as ours, what does a memory gap mean after all?”
