Attis Theatre – Theodoros Terzopoulos
Sophocles, Aias
“The performance is the end product of work we did on various issues like betrayal, revenge, madness, suicide and guilt, which form the core of Sophocles’ Aias but are not part of our contemporary world.”
The actors narrate Aias’ murderous deeds, identify with them, internalize them and ultimately transform themselves into perpetrators and victims at the same time, posing the fundamental metaphysical question yet again: ‘What’s it all about?’”.
