Juliette Greco in concert

The concert is cancelled

Juliette Gréco, a true embodiment of the chançon français, ‘French song’, will be appearing at the Athens Festival for one night only, in a concert as moving as it is personal, dedicated to the songs she has made her own and the writers she has loved. The irrepressible joy and subtle irony that have been sending audiences into ecstasy since she started out in Saint Germain des Prés half a century ago still scintillates in her recent recordings. Friend and Muse to the post-war generation of poets, she went on to be Serge Gainsbourg, Léo Ferré, Jacques Brel and Françoise Sagan’s favoured performer.

“I’ve been around the world many times and met people that made the trip worthwhile each time. Now life finds me bursting with experiences, love and memories. Thank you for giving me the chance to be here.”
