MusicAeterna – Teodor Currentzis

Works by Bartók, Prokofiev

Their appearance in 2012 went down as the key musical event of last year’s Festival, and their exhilarating interpretations rewarded those lucky enough to hear them with a truly sublime experience. Festival audiences are eagerly awaiting the return of MusicAeterna and their mentor and conductor, Teodor Currentzis, especially since the ensemble will be joining forces with the internationally celebrated pianist, Alexander Melnikov. Together, they will be performing two of the most popular and explosive works in the 20th-century repertoire: Béla Bartók’s Concerto for orchestra, and Sergei Prokofiev’s Third piano concerto.
