Tu Amor Revolucionario
A dance installation by Anastasia Lyra
“The dance installation Tu amor revolucionario [Your revolutionary love] is a live sculpted composition starring a female body and a flag. Revelation/seduction, form and content, and nature and ideology are thematic references emerging from the dialectic between the body and the symbol which simultaneously spotlight the contrast between predictable and unpredictable, mutable and immutable, finite and infinite. The label ‘installation’ references the relationship between the act and a form which is primarily associated with the visual arts. The installation will be visitable like an art exhibition while the event takes place. Just as one would gaze at a sculpture or the sea, one can watch it for a longer or shorter time.”
