Rafi Music Theatre Company, one of the most dynamic Greece-based music theatre companies, and the avant-garde performance group Nova Melancholia transformed the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus into a “battlefield” in which the Biblical elements of Nature fought each other. The subversive opera performance “Il diluvio universale” (The Great Flood), based on the eponymous oratorio of Michelangelo Falvetti fascinated audiences, taking them along in a seductive universe to the sounds of virtuosos Michalis Siganidis and Harris Lambrakis, while also bringing to the fore timely issues such as the importance of diversity.
