Fwd: See you in Walhalla

The founders of the amorphy.org Dance Company, Tzeni Argyriou and Ash Bulayev, explain that their latest work examines the relationship between virtual and real bodies “in an environment overloaded with technology”.

Fwd: See you in Walhalla, which first appeared as a kind of online game on stage, is a cross-genre, multi-media and performance spectacle, an unconventional journey to the holy city of Walhalla. Audiences are guided by a female figure, at times virtual, at times real, who wanders through an electronic landscape built from the digital fragments of European cities. Performed at a video game pace through the bombardment of 3D images, the loneliness of the “player” and their obsession with technology agonisingly pose the question: “Who has final control? The player or the game?”
