Awards ceremony for the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage 2013

This year, Europa Nostra – the pan-European network for cultural heritage organisations – is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary and holding its annual congress in Athens, in collaboration with the European Commission and the “Elliniki Etairia” Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage. The crowning event of the congress will be the awards ceremony celebrating thirty laureates for their exceptional achievements in four areas: conservation, research, dedicated service, and education, training and awareness-raising. The proceedings will be co-hosted by European Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou and the President of Europa Nostra, Plácido Domingo.
 
The event is being held under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias
