Salves

Maguy Marin, one of those rare artists who do not rest on their laurels, now has over three decades of unabating creativity to her credit. Following on from May B (1981), Peiraios 260 is hosting another Greek premiere: her recent work Salves (2010). Confronting the need “to organize pessimism”, this time she invokes Walter Benjamin. Socially and ethically engaged, she once again strives to put forces of resistance on stage - “so we can get away from everything that depresses us and saps our strength”, she explains.
