Course on Ancient Greek Drama

«Exploring European Identities / Ideologies by Means of (Re)presentations of Ancient Drama»

This summer, Epidaurus will once again be hosting the Intensive Course on Ancient Greek Drama, entitled “Exploring European Identities / Ideologies by Means of (Re-)Presentations of Ancient Drama” and now in its ninth consecutive year, along with the 2nd “Epidaurus Work-In-Progress Forum”.

The main aim of the Network is to facilitate the collaboration between students and researchers in the fields of both theatre and classical studies, with a view to linking theoretical approaches towards ancient drama with the active theatre world and its recent achievements.

The course is organised by the University of Athens’ European Network of Research and Documentation of Ancient Greek Drama Performances, with the support of the Municipality of Asklipieio, the Benaki Museum, the Athenian Brewery, and the Hellenic Festival.
