Josef Nadj & Miquel Barceló

Paso Doble

Ten tons of liquid clay transform into a stage space in which the choreographer Josef Nadj and visual artist Miquel Barceló experiment in this stimulating encounter. The two performers dig, pierce, hit, mould and sculpt the clay, shaping a shared experience in different media. Paso Doble addresses obsessions, fears and enthusiasms, in a process of exchange which removes all lines of demarcation. The two performers assume the form of living statues to become an integral part of an artwork as ephemeral as performance [I.K.].
