Ludovico Einaudi

Elements

The acclaimed Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi promises to captivate the audiences at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus with his spellbinding music. Originally a classical pianist, Einaudi went on to study with Luciano Berio, one of the greatest avant-garde composers of the 20th century. Deeply influenced by Berio, Einaudi quickly moved on to other genres (pop, rock, electronica, world and folk music). In addition to his personal albums, he is also known for the numerous soundtracks he has scored for films such as The Intouchables (2011) and I’m Still Here (2010), and for television series, including the Acquario series and the TV adaptations of Doctor Zhivago and This is England. Einaudi invariably casts a spell on audiences with his moving, effortlessly lyrical, exceptionally refined music, which weaves together a number of genres. This concert is named after his latest album, Elements.
