Megaron Orchestra, Camerata of the Friends of Music
Works by Mozart and Haydn
With the recordings that bear his name numbering over 200, the British conductor Christopher Hogwood has become famous for the meticulous way in which he studies the works he conducts, thus always offering something fresh with his interpretations, be they baroque 20th century music, upon which he is considered an authority, or of contemporary music, for which he has a special affinity. His collaboration with the charismatic Italian soprano Patrizia Ciofi, for whom “singing is not a profession but a reason for living”, and the talented Camerata orchestra for this performance of arias by Mozart is hotly anticipated.
