RootlessRoot, who first appeared at the Festival in 2007, return to our line-up with a powerful solo performance. In W Memorabilia, tragic ancient Greek heroines (Phaedra, Medea and Pasiphaë) become fertile ground for an exploration of conflicting and contrasting aspects of the female identity: submissive wife and merciless avenger of infidelity, loving mother and desperate filicide. Surrounded by intensely theatrical elements, Linda Kapetanea undertakes a psychological analysis based entirely on a movement vocabulary, guided by the force of the music and her ferocious physical energy.
