Summer class on ancient drama

Exploring aspects of European identity and ideology
Τhrough the (re)enactment of ancient drama

An intensive, university programme of summer classes on ancient drama, entitled Exploring Aspects of European Identity and Ideology Through the (Re-) Enactment of Ancient Drama, is to form part of the Epidaurus Festival this year. Organised by the University of Athens’ European Network of Research and Documentation of Ancient Greek Drama Performances (founded in 1997) in association with other European universities, and with the support of the Municipality of Asklipieio and the Socrates/Erasmus student exchange programme, it is aimed at post-graduate Theatre Studies and Classics students. The workshop will be followed by The Epidaurus Work in Progress Forum, which will include papers given by students who have participated in the program over the last five years.
