Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, Fazil Say
Χωρίς Τίτλο
Fasil Say’s bold approach and highly personal style have won over classical music audiences around the world. A breath of fresh air and a jazz aficionado, he sees the orchestra as an equal partner in an impassioned on-stage dialogue rather than mere accompaniment. He will be playing two ever-popular pieces with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, Rhapsody in Blue and I got rhythm, which established George Gershwin (1898-1937) as a classical composer. The concert culminates with “Episodes from an artist’s life” by Berlioz (1803-1869); more widely known as Symphonie fantastique, it is one of the most important and characteristic works of early Romanticism.
