Since its foundation in 2008, the Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra has performed important works in collaboration with celebrated soloists and conductors, providing talented young musicians with an opportunity for creative collaboration. In this concert, the ensemble will be playing Haydn’s Concerto for trumpet in E flat major and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Perhaps the greatest work in the entire symphonic repertoire, the latter retains its emotional power undimmed and serves as a timely reminder of the universal ideals that inspired its composition.
