Yuval Pick, the Israeli dancer and choreographer who succeeded Maguy Marin as director of the Rillieux-la-Pape National Choreographic Centre in 2011, makes his Greek debut with a work that is as authentic as it has been successful.
Score, a choreography inspired by Pick's home city, Tel Aviv, conveys a mosaic of emotions which veer from sensuality and ferocity to tenderness. Dancing against an original sound backdrop consisting of unprocessed material gathered on the streets of Tel Aviv by the choreographer, three outstanding dancers astound and win us over with the relentless and often mesmerizing flow of a kinetic energy.
